Endowed with incredible natural beauty, Meghalaya is one of the most beautiful states in Northeast India. Visit the capital city of Meghalaya, Shillong, which is popularly known as the Scotland of the East. Proceed to Cherrapunji, which is one of the wettest places on earth and visit its many amazing root bridges and waterfalls. You will get to visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. You will also visit stunning Umngot River in Dawki located on India - Bangladesh Border. In Guwahati, you will visit the revered temple of Maa Kamakhya and also the mighty Brahmaputra River. This 6-day trip to the northeast is one you will never forget.

Package Itinerary

Day 1 - Guwahati - Shillong (98 km/3 hours)

Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. After greetings we will take you to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East' (100 km 3 hrs). While traveling we see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Upon arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. In the evening you can visit the famous Police Bazar. Overnight stay in the hotel at Shillong.

Day 2 - Shillong - Cherrapunjee (60 km/2 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee and see many gushing waterfalls on your way, including the famous Nohsngithiang Falls. Also visit the Seven Sisters Falls, Living Root Bridge , Mawsmai Cave and the Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.

Day 3 - Cherrapunji - Mawlynnong - Dawki River - Cherrapunji

Today early morning, start your road journey to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong was awarded the prestigious tag of 'Cleanest Village in Asia' in 2003. Visit Root Bridge & Bamboo Bridge. After Mawlynnong, you will start your journey to border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. The driver will keep getting you closer and closer to the Bangladesh plains which you had first spotted from Mawlynnong Village. Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in India. You can enjoy boat ride in the river. Later in the evening return to Cherrapunji for overnight stay.

Day 4 - Cherrapunji - Shillong

After breakfast, check-out from your hotel & head towards Shillong. En-route visit Elephant Falls, named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East. Upon arrival in Shillong, visit Don Bosco Museum, Lady Hydari Park, Ward's Lake, Spread Eagle Falls, Rhino Heritage Museum. Evening free for shopping at Police Bazar. Overnight stay at Shillong

Day 5 - Shillong - Guwahati

Have a delicious breakfast and check out from the hotel. Proceed to Guwahati and visit the manmade Umiam Lake and the Beadon Bishop View Point en route. Arrive in Guwahati by noon and check in to your hotel. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, Balaji Temple & Umananda Temple. In the evening enjoy stunning sun set view Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 6 - Departure

After a wholesome breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for your departure. Your arrival at the airport will mark the end of the tour. Tour concludes with everlasting memories of Meghalya & Assam.

Airfare component if added in the package given to you is subject to seat availability & price can change at the time of confirmation.
In case of non availability of rooms in selected hotels, a similar category hotel will be provided.
Confirmation depends on room availability and upon your placing of booking to us. Always check suggested hotel reviews online before confirming the booking with us.
Credit card payments are subject to 2 to 3% extra bank charges depending on card type.
No change in itinerary once confirmed will be honored unless otherwise given in writing.
Alternative Hotel/Room will be given; if the above quoted hotel/room type is not available, every effort will be made to ensure rate quoted remain same upon confirmation, however, surcharge is unavoidable should higher room category / different category of hotel is given, due to quoted hotel/room type being fully booked.
Extension of stay would be subject to availability and on pro-rata basis and as of best rate of the day existing at that time of booking.
In some hotels, caution deposit may be charged at the time of check-in which will be refunded at the time of check-out and it has to be borne by the traveler.
Breakfast in the respective hotel to be given by Hotel’s standard timings only.
Vehicle quoted on private will not be at disposal but will perform its respective duties as per the itinerary only. ( Point to point )
In case of tours quoted with sightseeing places, the cost does not cover monument entrÃ©e fees, photography charges and others if any.
No refund for partly unutilized tickets. No refund for "NO – SHOWS" & last moment cancellations (7 days prior to trip start date). For cancellations done prior to 7 days, refund amount will vary depending on the destination & type of package booked and is solely at the discretion of Ezi Holiday.
All tours are subjected to local weather/Social condition and there is no refund for the un-used/cancelled tours.
For Flight ticket cancellation, charges will be applicable as per the terms & conditions of the respective airlines. Ezi Holiday may also charge a processing fee of Rs. 250 to 1000 in addition to the airline cancellation charges.
